It was a hot, humid summer’s day. The type of day that has you sweating when you do normal everyday tasks. Where I live, the humidity in summer is really high. So high that you always feel damp with sweat and you need to carry a little facecloth around to mop your forehead and everywhere else…
I was getting ready to go to the mall to buy a couple of things when the little boy from next door came to call my son. And to my delight! He invited him over for a swim.
Why is this a praise and why did it delight me and make me so happy as a mom?
Of course because it was such a hot day but also because we don’t have a pool and most homes have pools here. But the main reason was because previously we were blessed to stay in a complex that had a pool that we thoroughly enjoyed as a family but no longer live there.
It’s summer holidays so it was nice to go to the mall knowing that not only did my son have a friend but that they would be occupied having a lovely time swimming and I did not have to worry because my son is 10 years old and is a good swimmer and absolutely LOVES swimming!
This was just another little blessing that I could count towards my daily blessings. God is sooo GOOD!
This little boy would regularly call my son to swim and called him today too 😄
