Rivers of Living Water 🏞️

I always loved this Scripture and knew it came from the Bible, but I never really knew exactly where it was found 🙏

“Whoever believes in Me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:38 

l loved knowing that God’s rivers of living waters flowed from my heart and l would always pray and ask for His rivers of living waters to flow from my heart because l needed his living waters ❤ ️

Especially when l felt sad or unhappy.

To me rivers of living waters signifies joy, peace and happiness.

But l never really knew or understood it in context. 

It was not until l started taking a deep dive into understanding the person of the Holy Spirit that l actually found and highlighted the scripture in my Bible!

Now l understand who was speaking, why and when it was said.

Today we have access to the rivers of living waters and can simply ASK the Holy Spirit for His rivers of living waters to flow from our hearts everyday. 

Jesus Himself was speaking, and explains that the “living water” He spoke about was the Holy Spirit, who would later be given to believers after Jesus returned to the Father.

The revelation l received is that the rivers of living water IS the Holy Spirit, l never understood that part. It was just a scripture that l loved and comforted me. It gave me peace and joy when l needed it 💕

Jesus said:
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.”

We all experience difficult seasons. Sometimes we feel dry, weary, defeated, discouraged, or overwhelmed by life.

That is when asking Holy Spirit for His living waters becomes a lifeline 🆘 ⛑️ 

Jesus is our Saviour, He died for us and He said that He would have to die in order to leave us something that would be to our advantage, the Holy Spirit who is the Rivers of Living Waters.

My prayer is that when you read this that you would simply ask Jesus for the Rivers of Living waters to flow through your soul 🙌 

Especially in times when you are feeling dry and weary 🙏

When l ask the Holy Spirit for his Rivers of Living water to flow through my soul l think of and imagine bubbling brooks of water flowing through my heart giving me JOY and HAPPINESS 🥰

My prayer is that as you read this, you too would experience joy, peace, and the refreshing of His living waters flowing through your soul 🙌

Rivers of Living Water

37 On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as[a] the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” 39 Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 37-39
